AWARD WINNING JAPANESE CHILDREN’S ANIMATION SERIES DEBUTS ON NTV7
The school holidays are back again and what better way to celebrate then to enjoy the feel good offerings of Dr. Daisaku Ikeda’s award winning animated series which will be aired on ntv7, every Saturday from 1.30pm to 2.00pm, beginning 5th December 2009. The Prince and the Coral Sea will debut on 5th December, while Rainbow Mountain will debut on 12th December, followed by The Princess of the Desert Kingdom on 19th December and Kanta and the Deer on 26th December. These four different titles, will be dubbed in Cantonese with Malay subtitles and will be broadcasted in a series entitled “Like Me, Like You : The World in Your Heart” and it will debut for the very first time in Malaysia only on ntv7.
Dr.Daisaku Ikeda is a well-known Japanese philosopher, peace builder and educator who is also the founding president and leader of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI), one of the largest, most engaged and diverse Buddhist movement in the world today. Dr.Ikeda’s literary focus has always been literature for young children – a genre in which he first honed his writing talents as an editor of a children’s magazine while in his early twenties. Ikeda’s children’s stories have been translated into numerous languages, and several have been made into animated films and applauded for their positive influence on young viewers. A series of 12 of his animated stories won the Anak TV Broadcasters’ Award from the Philippines based Southeast Asian Foundation for Children’s Television in 2005. The Anak TV Broadcasters' Award is the highest honour given by Philippine broadcasters for significant contributions by individuals to the betterment of Philippine broadcasting, especially for children's programs.
Dr. Daisaku’s animations convey values such as friendship, courage and love, whilst offering adults and children alike something different from what they usually watch on commercial channels. In year 2008, the same animation series was broadcasted in Hong Kong. Prominent Hong Kong writer Chau Mat Mat commented on The Princess of the Desert Kingdom and remarked that the story vividly communicates an important message about conserving natural resources and preserving the environment in a way that children can readily understand. Selected films from the series were also previously broadcasted in Panama, India, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Spain, Australia and 22 other countries.

十二月份全马首播《池田大作卡通系列--世界就在你和我的心中》
迎合学校假期，十二月份ntv7将以“世界就在你和我的心中”为主题，连续四个星期六，下午1点30分，全马首播四部池田大作卡通影片─《王子与珊瑚海》、 《彩虹山》、《沙漠王国的公主》和《鹿与汉田》。
世界著名文化名人池田大作的卡通童话故事精彩地描绘及传达出友情、善良、勇气与爱的重要性。池田大作人生的一个文学重点正是儿童文学，一直秉持要灌输孩子在心中致力打造一个和平及美丽的世界。池田先生也是国际创价学会的会长，他希望通过写作帮助孩子们在心中种植正义、勇气、希望、认真和善良的种子。
以生命小故事为题的池田大作卡通系列，可以让大人和小孩接触到有别于一般商业电视台的资讯，跳脱许多卡通着重于娱乐效果，内容夸张，以暴力或打为主题的框架，以充满教育性，同时巧妙地鼓励孩童拿出勇气面对生活中的挑战。
值得一提的是池田会长的卡通影片曾受菲律宾颁发2004年度“儿童电视播放奖”。这个荣誉是菲律宾“东南亚儿童电视基金会”设立的，颁赠对于儿童节目有卓越贡献的人物。此外，池田大作卡通系列亦也曾于2007年“国家地理频道”，以英语与印地语两种语言播放，收视地区包括印度、尼泊尔、不丹、孟加拉国、巴基斯坦、斯里兰卡、马尔代夫等，另外也在香港、新加坡、巴拿马、冰岛、西班牙、澳洲等超过22国播出，影片广受好评。
《沙漠王国的公主》在香港上映时，受到的香港著名儿童作家周蜜蜜关注并公开表示，此片以浅显易懂却又生动的描述，让孩子自然而然地明白，应该珍惜天然资源和爱护环境。
《彩虹山》则曾获选为日本的“文部科学省选定作品”，该片是以2003年连载于日本教育杂志《灯台》的童话著作为题，作品内容有助小朋友在幼小的心灵培植正确的价值观，因此获得文部科学省的垂青。
此外，巴拿马一位年仅九岁的小朋友格洛丽亚‧朱（Gloria Chu）在看完了卡通影片后有感而发说道∶“我学会要节省用水，也学会对他人友善。我们不应该浪费水，因为这个世界上有部分人连水都没得喝。”
ntv7总经理Airin Zainul表示，“我感到非常荣幸，能与创价学会合作，为大马观众首播池田大作的动画影片。透过极富人文与教育意义的动画影片感动孩子，履行社会责任。”

I wish the Dr. Daisaku Ikeda's anmimation series can be bring a impact message to all childrens and adults.
非常感人的故事，池田先生以生动的艺术手法编写寓意深远的儿童文学，为观众带来引人深思的余韵。儿童固然爱看，连大人们也能够通过这系列的动画感受童真，思索应该如何为未来的下一代创造更美好的环境。感谢ntv7，希望将来有更多机会欣赏这类型的好作品！
Although the animation is targeted at children, adults will find that Dr Ikeda's message is directed at them as well. It forces us to reflect - how can we build a truly peaceful word for our children. This is an animation series with a difference.
If only ntv7 provide a better time slot as the current airtime is quite inconvenient to most people i talked to and hence they missed it.
such a great story,very meaningful story, my daughter love it very much. hope mr ikeda animation series will continue show. one month feel like very less. if u miss it then cannot watch already. hope ntv7 can continue this animation. thanks a lot.

Dr.Daisaku Ikeda's stories bring out many important values which have been forgot by people nowadays.Even the simplest values such as courage which most of us have been taught since kindergarten,we barely apply it in our daily lives.We are just too afraid to pick up challenges.After watching "The Princess of The Desert Kingdom",i realised that facing problems courageously is absolutely way better than chickened out.Sometimes,it is just us under-estimating ourselves.By confronting obstacle with the lion's spirit,we will lead a truly successful life.
Lastly,i would like to offer my appreciation towards ntv7 for giving a chance to improve one's personality ang to make the world a better place. ^^

弟妹看了池田先生的这一个月的卡通后，弟弟可以完完全全把故事陈述给我听，妹妹跟我说以后要成为卡通里勇敢的小孩...他们都对这卡通片印象深刻！！！

My kids and I had completely watched Dr. Daisaku Ikeda's animation series in these whole December. My kids and I was really enjoyed to watch, especially the Rainbow Mountain. It touches especially to my son. He really take initiative to tell his sister do not throw rubbish in everywhere, and until now he still keep the attitude.
The animations from Dr. Daisaku Ikeda were really powerful which direct touch to human's heart. Hope ntv7 can broadcast these animations again soon because l am sure that they can change people’s heart and mind. I am not joking because my son is a good example to let me see. He got changes.
