Fashion Fridays: Loafers

I'm sure most girls are guilty of shoegazing at least once in their lifetime and have committed the crime of posting their shoegazing pics up on their social sites. The term "Shoegazing" here literally means shoe gazing (not the similar term used to describe a subgenre of alternative rock), and I first came across it on Pugly Pixel.

In today's introduction to shoegazing, I have here the slip on shoe that was deemed to be old fashioned once, but became trendy along with the growing love for vintage clothing--loafers.

Bought from a flea market in Kota Damansara for RM50

Everyone need a LBD (little black dress) and I think the same goes for shoes. Black shoes are the easiest to match with any type of clothing, and I like this one for the little ribbon detail.

Bought from Esarli in Berjaya Times Square for RM45

If you're looking for a lighter coloured loafer, this light grey one's really nice. It goes well with dark pants/jeans because of the contrast but doesn't look too bad here when paired with light coloured jeans. The unconventional ribbon on the shoe's probably one the thing that stands out when you look at it.

Bought from Hush Puppies for RM89

Colour, colour, colour. And the possibilities are endless with the amount of pretty loafers in bright yellow, purple, pink, neon blue etc. It's not really hard to match these bright coloured shoes and the safest way to do it is to keep your outfit simple but let your shoe stand out.

Bought in Korea for RM30

Otherwise, you can always go with a the typical earth/dark coloured loafers like this one in dark grey. These colours are not as boring as black but works when you've got another point you'd like to highlight on your outfit like a headband or bright coloured top. Also, I have to mention that Korea is a great place to hunt for fashionable and cheap shoes. If you ever make a trip there, do look out for 'em.
