Music Mondays: One Direction or Boyce Avenue?

Lately a few of my colleagues have been hooked on to "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction. They've been playing the song over and over; and with it's catchy tune, it's so easy to have the song stuck in your head.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining cause I for one love the song too. Not to mention I've always been a fan of British bands, pop music or not. But I have to say, the first time I heard this song, it was a cover by this group called Boyce Avenue on YouTube and not by One Direction; so when I heard the original, I was pretty surprised at how different the cover was from the original.




One Direction's version is upbeat and catchy, it's a great song that expresses the feeling of having a crush on a girl & it's fun! But have a listen to Boyce Avenue's version, the mellow guitar and voice totally changes the mood of the song. The song suddenly feels like it's suited for a scene in Bridget Jones' Diary or The Notebook, something a little more serious.

So with this One Direction song going a off a totally different direction, which version do you like better? One Direction or Boyce Avenue?
