Google always surprises, with their launch of Google Goggles and now there's going to be a pair of Google Glasses too.
The glasses are said to have the same software Android phones do, and like smartphones, they utilize the wearer's 3G data connection to project information about their surroundings like historical information for buildings and so on.
I guess the glasses might be useful if you're really an inquisitive person who wants information straight up, served to you the moment you see it. But I'm thinking that it's not going to be a product I'd rush to have cause owning it or not doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
The glasses are said to be priced around the same as a smartphone and from what I can imagine, smartphones allow you to do a lot more than what I forsee these spectacles would or could do. Plus, if Google is going to place ads on my spectacles, I don't know if that would be a turn off for people who own the glasses.
But that's just my personal opinion cause most of the specs and functions of the Google Glasses are still mainly speculations or hearsay. I don't know, maybe I would eat my words when the glasses gets released in the market. Until then, I'm on the wait...
