In Korea, I remember colourful jeans were introduced when Girls Generation released their single "Gee" & they wore a series of bright coloured jeans in the music video. Girls who wanted to imitate their style just had to get a pair of coloured jeans. That was in 2009.

Now it's back again, and I know because I was browsing through Topshop's website and I noticed how they were showcasing their Delectable Fluros which included neon bright coloured pants, skirts, jackets and handbags; while GAP has also launched their new Be Bright campaign where they teamed up with a bunch of fashion bloggers to showcase a series of bright coloured denim and khakis, encouraging the outburst of a colourful celebration.

It was only when I walked past a UNIQLO store here and saw their new coloured denim series in stores that I had a sudden realization moment going "gosh, coloured bottoms are back now aren't they?"
You know what they say about Fashion always being a cycle; something that was fashionable for your grandmother might be fashionable now, so I guess it's the same for these coloured bottoms--they were in-fashion 3 years ago and now brought back to life by GAP, Topshop & Uniqlo.
I didn't get myself a pair of coloured denim back then, maybe I might get a pair of coloured khakis now. And hopefully, if it ever goes out of trend, it'll be brought back in years to come.
