Techy Thursdays: Sitting or Squatting?

If you're super in need of a toilet and you don't know the area well, who do you go to and ask for directions to the nearest toilet? You could try asking the information counter, but really now, if you were on the streets, how would that be possible?

When this really happens, I suggest whipping out your phone and tapping on your SitOrSquat app, the restroom finder!

Despite it being a super quirky idea, it's something that would make you go "Hey, this kind of app might come in handy..." don't you think?

Sit Or Squat started out as a personal blog by Danika & Jonathan that well, talked about toilets. Which ones were clean and where they were located, things like that. Now, it's turned into a full fledged site, iPhone app and Blackberry app too!

The way it works is simple, if you have a data plan, you can either search for toilets in a particular area or look at the map for suggested toilets around your current location. Of course, with this app mainly for people living in the states, there might not be as much toilets shown on the Malaysian map as compared to the one in the U.S.

BUT the great thing about this app is, if you know of certain locations where there are toilets, you can add them to the map with one easy step! The only downside would be that you have to be a registered member in order to rate a toilet's cleanliness (which helps of course) and add particular toilets to your favourite's list.

With all things said though, it is a pretty handy app to have on your phone & I totally recommend it (even if it's just for fun)!
